Past. Present. Future

When I was in high school people who I was friends with in relationships with and a lot of other people said I did not have any goals and I would not go anywhere in life. I told those same people in high school that I want and will get a incredible internship in college and follow my dreams to become a lawyer someday and follow my heart and dreams. To this day I have been awarded an incredible internship to serve in Washington DC this summer and I am in law classes and I am living and breathing my goals a day at a time and bettering myself to complete them and achieve them. "dreaming of the future won't make the future happen. Living in the present will."

my 1st blog

Hey y'all this is my first blog... has anyone ever wondered about advances in technology? Well, I have and I was thinking that, if we are coming out with all of these "breakthroughs" how come people in earlier times didn't come up with them? like the egyptians? to me we have had the same resources as they did so why did we come up with these breakthroughs and not them? was it because we are more intelligent? i don't think so. i believe that our society dwells on more material things and doesn't worry much on intelligence. IF the egyptians did come up with say the iPhone centuries ago where would we be today?
